Synopsis
Kan Siu-Nam (Adam Cheng), due to the loss of his daughter (Tansy), divorced his wife, Angela (Rebecca Chan). He whole-heartedly focuses on his acting career. Due to a role in which he plays a murderer, he get emboiled into a serial killer case. Through collegue Esther (Maggie Shiu), he meets Ivan (Moses Chan) and his sister Natalie (Aimee Chan). Eventually, Kan notices Ivan's resemblance to the serial killer. He also has a strange feeling towards Natalie. The relationship between the four people become entangled and mysterious. The more Kan wants to discover the truth, the further he finds himself from the truth.

Plot summary
Kan Siu-Nam (Adam Cheng) is a stage actor and a proponent of method acting, when called to play the role of a convicted murderer Kan finds that he can use his skills as an actor to inhabit the mind of the murderer and from his insights derive the truth of a decades old case.
Cheung Sai-yin (Moses Chan) is a stage magician and a former criminal, when individuals from his previous life threaten his new one, Cheung finds that killing again comes easily to him, doing so repeatedly to protect his identity. The police who find themselves with a trail of missing people and corpses believe that they have a serial killer on the loose; but having no clues as to how catch him turn to Kan for help, Kan uses the available evidence to recreate the mind of the killer. As Kan does so he begins to realise that he has a link to the killer, that the killer holds the secret to the case of Kan's daughter, Tansy, missing for twenty years after a botched kidnapping and presumed by everyone to be dead.
For twenty years Kan has never given up hope of finding his daughter alive, and desperate to do so recreates the psyche of the killer and allows it to occupy his own mind but having done so can Kan expel it.
